Join us for a storytime of Miguel Antony Briones’ children’s book MACHO NO MACHISMO at the Amphitheater in Kingsbury Commons.
He currently lives in Austin Texas with his partner and their dog Benson Kenobi. When he is not writing or illustrating, Miguel enjoys writing music, being a Tio, volunteering with local and national organizations, and writing about himself in the third person.
Through his writing, he hopes to inspire and empower future generations by uplifting the lived experiences, voices, and stories of Chicanos, Hispanics, Latinos, and all members of the Spanish-speaking community.
A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events: If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but If you have registered we look forward to having you there! Thank you!
