Sound Bath at Pease Park with VHU Music

Pease Park Conservancy is excited to partner with VHU Music for National Hispanic Heritage Month for a Soundbath at the iconic Treehouse in Pease Park!

VHU is an electronic music project that blends ethereal vocals and electronic sounds with traditional South American instruments, including Andean flutes and charango. For Pease Park, we’re creating a special small format performance designed specifically for the Treehouse space, bringing together electronic music, live instrumentation, and the natural surroundings of the park.

Please be aware that there is a 20-person limit to the number of people who can be on the net at the top of the Treehouse. Because of this restriction, a ticket to the top of the Treehouse for this event will be $12 and access will be limited. Additional listening space will be at the bottom of the Treehouse and across the trail for free.

PAID REGISTRATION FOR THE TOP OF THE TREEHOUSE

Lives Remembered: Black History in Pease Park

The site of today's Pease District Park was part of the 365-acre Woodlawn homestead owned by former Texas Governor E. M. Pease and his wife, Lucadia. Although Governor Pease supported the Union during the Civil War, research has found that at least 37 individuals were directly enslaved or leased as enslaved labor by the Pease family. This tour recognizes and shares some of the stories of a few of these people.
